Costo - sustainable beanies and accessories from Finland

Costo logo

Costo is a Finnish headwear and accessory brand founded by three Finnish designers combining their visions and skills to make something new in the field of design. The company started in 2006 in a basement room using industrial leftover materials for creating environmentally sustainable and good-looking designs.

Costo products are known from three aspects: quality, ecology, and style. Style means timeless products that stay fashionable year after year. The company is against the throw-away-mentality, where things are made only for a moment´s pleasure. For Costo, style, ecology and lasting quality go hand in hand.

The fabrics & leathers Costo uses are carefully selected small leftover quantities of branded, European design fabrics & leathers from companies that serve the furniture and fashion industry. Costo uses only mulesing free South African merino wool by Filivivi and the organic cotton by Gebrueder Otto is GOTS-certified. All yarn suppliers comply with ISO standards and have the Ökotex certificate.

Costo products are manufactured in Finland and in Estonia (80 km from Helsinki). All the materials come from within EU, mostly from Finland, Denmark, and Italy.
